Discover the Benefits of Medicinal Plants

The plant kingdom holds an incredible diversity, with more than one and a half million species possessing remarkable therapeutic properties.

Phytotherapy, or the art of healing with plants, is currently experiencing a strong revival of interest. Despite the incredible progress made by medicine over the past 50 years, there is a growing desire to return to more natural care practices.

There are several reasons for this return to our roots. Alternative and traditional medicines offer more personalized care, focusing on the individual and addressing not only the treatment of ailments but also the prevention of disease.

Why Train in Herbal Medicine?

We now have a vast amount of information about plants and their effects, thanks to scientific progress that has made it possible to develop more advanced methods for extracting, preserving, and selecting plants than ever before.

Used wisely, plants have the power to relieve, comfort, soothe, and support individuals in both their physical and psychological ailments.

However, herbal medicine is not without risks. Some plants have highly effective medicinal properties but can be toxic if improperly dosed or used inappropriately.

The use of plants for therapeutic purposes cannot rely solely on partial knowledge. Before offering guidance to others, it is essential to understand precisely their active ingredients, expected effects, and possible contraindications.

The Skills You Will Gain Through This Training

  • Find remedies for yourself, your clients, and your loved ones.

  • Match a plant or plant family to address key health issues on physical, psychological, and emotional levels.

  • Understand the active principles of plants, their actions, and their potential risks for each system of the human body.

  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of the plant kingdom and its symbolism.

  • Start your practice with a solid understanding of the legal framework surrounding herbalism.

  • Apply a holistic approach to find remedies tailored to each person.

  • Create a 50-plant Herbs and Medicinal Plants Knowledge Card deck, with each card highlighting the plant’s key properties, therapeutic uses, preparation methods, and safety notes, serving as both a quick-reference guide and an engaging learning tool.

  • Select high quality plants  based on essential criteria (origin, organic/biodynamic farming, etc.).

  • Create your own synergies of remedies.

One Plant, One Day

Each module offers a complete immersion into the world of plants, combining history, culture, harvesting techniques, and therapeutic properties, while also providing practical exercises to help you put your knowledge into practice. Through the “Advice from an Herbalist” case studies, you will develop your skills in providing personalized guidance and support.

This training adapts to your lifestyle. You are free to organize your learning according to your availability. If you work consistently, you can complete it in one month by dedicating three days to each module. However, we recommend taking the necessary time to study the 50 medicinal plants included in the course, so that you can build a solid foundation.

For deeper understanding, we suggest dedicating each day to a different plant. Each morning, you will choose one and keep it with you throughout the day (as a tea, fresh plant, photograph, etc.), observing, smelling, and studying it as the day unfolds. This sensory immersion will help you develop a true connection with each plant and better understand its properties.

Various Fields of Applications

Herbal medicine, mistakenly considered as a set of “grandmother’s remedies”, is an integral part of holistic approaches to health. With your training as a Certified Herbalist, you will be able to accompany:

  • Sleep disorders;
  • States of stress or depression;
  • Problems with concentration or memory;
  • Skin conditions;
  • Cardiovascular problems;
  • Digestive and gastric disorders;

  • Blood circulation and immune system disorders;
  • Plus more…

  • You have unlimited access to all 10 modules.
  • All course materials are available in text and audio format, which you can freely download to work offline if you wish.
  • A multiple-choice knowledge test validates your training for certification.

Having discovered this possibility, with obviously my basics and experiences in survival, natural survival, Bushcraft, human tracking, animal tracking, as well as first aid courses in remote environments, I got involved, even though it was not possible to take the course in Italian ... hard but interesting and fun.

Just finished Forest Therapy Practitioner and I didn’t realize the in depth benefits of certain trees and plants within the forest. As someone that forages and lives offgrid this was still an eye opener to my many ways the forest can be utilized for maximum health benefits. Thanks for the structured learn at your own pace courses. This isn’t the first course I’ve enrolled in here and it won’t be the last, I love learning and you’ve made it that much easier 🙂

Wilderness Survival Instructor Course
I was so pleased with the courses! I’ve just completed the Wilderness Survival Instructor course. Honestly, I live deep in the forest off grid and as an Indigenous person, I like to think I have a good grasp of wilderness knowledge, but this course reminded me, we never stop learning and there is always something new to be taught. This course really does prepare you for survival in many different climates. As well as how to be prepared for challenges you may encounter and what to do in case of emergency. A perfect compliment to the Sylvotherapy Practitioner course!. I look forward to enjoying more. Thank you Alma Oasis!

I thoroughly enjoyed the Urban Agriculture course! Not only could I immediately apply it to my personal endeavors, but the expert guidance also gave me the confidence to start planning my own urban farming projects. The practical exercises were invaluable in applying what I learnt. Overall, I am very satisfied with the course and would highly recommended for anyone interested in sustainable urban farming!

Sylvotherapy Practitioner Certification
I recently completed the Forest Therapy course and found it to be a valuable starting point for diving deeper into the subject. I really enjoyed it and felt it offered a solid introduction to the core concepts of forest therapy highlighting the many benefits of reconnecting with nature. However, I believe it was essential that the course included information (title, journal name, links, etc) on the studies mentioned. Also, a suggested reading list would be a great addition. Overall, it was a good experience, and I recommend it to anyone interested in learning about forest therapy.
Jillian B.
Sylvotherapy Practitioner Certification
I really enjoyed all of the information given to me in the Sylvotherapy Practitioner course and learned a lot about trees and plants and the history and process of a proper forest bath. Already being a business owner, some of the information regarding starting my career as a Sylvotherapist seemed irrelevant, but it was otherwise a wonderful way to learn about the forest and all of its benefits. Excited to try my next course!
